Vagrancy Charge.

(San Jose Mercury-News. April 11, 1899)

Frank Conners, and Dolly Prader, accused of being disrepable characters and frequenters of houses of ill-fame, were before Justice Rosenthal today charged with vagrancy. Through their attorney, A. F. Hoehner they plead not guilty, and their trial was set for Thursday next.
Justice Rosenthal allowed them to go on their own recognizance the understanding being that they would leave town. The complaint against them was sworn to by Officer Pickering.

(Soon afterward the pair appeared in Watsonville and became denizens of the brothels on Union and Pajaro Streets.)
