UNITED STATES 1917
America formally entered World War I. An unusually large number of African Americans volunteered and served proudly in the various branches of the Armed Services. Among others who served was Carl Harris, the son of “Jack “ Harris, who service in Argonne, France.
UNITED STATES 1921
As World War I ended, many thousands of Negro veterans remained on active duty and made a career out of the Armed Services. |
